And it as only later that Hevad left StarCraft for poker when he realized the lucrative potential of playing online poker and decided to register an account at PokerStars with the help of some money he had received for graduating from high school.
Soon, Khan had built a substantial bankroll playing online poker at PokerStars.
Transition to online poker
Ever the video game fan, Khan's username is "RaiNKhaN," which he borrowed from the character "Rain" from Mortal Kombat.
At some point in 2008 poker players began observing that his username was cropping up simultaneously at several tournaments and accused him of being a poker bot. In fact, Khan almost had his account terminated for cheating.
Khan, therefore, requested a friend to film him playing a total of 26 Sit 'N' Go tournaments simultaneously on a single monitor in order to prove that he was a real player and not a bot. This astounding video soon became one of the most-watched videos in the industry, making Khan a legendary poker hero overnight.
Today, Khan is known for his stupendous talent at playing multi-table tournaments.
Hevad Khan bio
Born in 1985 in New York, Khan has secured a huge record of tournament wins to his credit. In 2008, Khan won the Sunday Warm Up, a weekly PokerStars event in which he eliminated 2,504 poker players in just nine hours and won $97,856.
Hevad also won $108,187 at the Foxwoods Poker Classic of 2008. The largest amount of money he has ever won is $1,000,000 at the Caesars Palace Classic of 2008.
Khan finished 6th at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2007 and won $956,243. His boisterous behavior whenever he won a hand forced WSOP to formulate and bring into effect a new rule called "Hevad Khan Rule," which prevented players from displaying their joy or celebrating their wins in a boisterous and offensive manner. Some people say that Khan was not an outstanding success at WSOP 2008 because of this new rule.
Recently, Khan finished 239th at the WSOP 2009 No Limit Hold'em event and won $2,923. On June 3, 2010, he finished 11th at the WSOP 2009 Pot Limit Hold'em event and won $18,170. Khan's total winnings so far exceed $2,500,000. He has made a total of seven cashes so far and three first place finishes.
Khan is no doubt a formidable opponent at the poker table, and his fans love him for his liveliness, his enthusiasm, and his gaming style.

Pokerbonustips.com recommends to play online poker with moderation and to avoid this game while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Playing poker is a potent game that may have psychological side effects especially when playing for real money or at the highest stakes. Like any good thing in life, be cautious about it. Think twice if you consider dropping from school or resigning from your job to become a full time pro. Poker is fun if used in small dosage, but doing it every days for hours is a totally different ball game, and it becomes more like a 'real job'. You have been warned! Simply use the bonus codes at our sides to enhance your bankroll, and do other interesting things, not just poker.
